Store Manager

Retail | Full Time | Mackay, QLD

We are currently searching for a full-time store manager at our new Mackay store, opening November 2024. The role purpose of a store manager is to oversee all aspects of store operations, drive sales and profitability, ensure excellent customer service, and create a positive and efficient work environment for the store team. Our store trades 7 days a week so you must be available to work every third weekend on a rotating roster.

Hours:

• Monday - Friday: 8:35am - 5:10pm
• Saturday: 8:40am - 2:10pm
• Sunday: 9:35am - 1:10pm

(Every third weekend)

Key responsibilities & competencies:

As a store manager you will be responsible and overseeing the following areas:

• Sale targets
• Staff performance
• Customer satisfaction
• Inventory management
• Visual merchandising and store presentation
• Managing the store's budget, expenses and profitability
• Providing regular reports and analysis on store performance, including sales trends, customer feedback, and operational metrics

Relevant experience & skills:

• A willingness to learn
• A dedication to accuracy
• Experience in a managerial role
• Minimum of 5 years of retail experience
• Ability to work well within a team and alone
• Demonstrates expertise in sales techniques and strategies
• Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and inventory management software
• Possesses strong leadership qualities essential for guiding, coaching, and fostering staff development
• Ability to address customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints in a timely and professional manner
• Experience in overseeing the daily operations of a retail store, including staffing, inventory management, and customer service
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively communicate with staff, customers, and higher management
