Today, the Serratelli brand maintains the same commitment to quality. Over 50 skilled artisans meticulously handcraft their hats in the workshop in Newark, New Jersey.
The process begins with selecting the finest rabbit and beaver felt blends that provide the foundation for exceptional quality. The hat body then undergoes careful blocking, shaping, and finishing. The brim is hand-bevelled and smoothed evenly throughout, ensuring a soft, smooth-to-the-touch finish. Artisans carefully sculpt every detail of the hat's silhouette and structure.

To determine your size, measure your head around its widest part—across the mid-forehead—and check a sizing chart. If you’re between sizes, consider buying the larger size. Remember that a well-fitted hat should feel snug but not tight, providing comfort throughout the day without slipping or causing pressure points. A Serratelli hat can last a lifetime with proper care. Store your hat upside down on its crown on a clean surface to maintain its quality and appearance. Using a specially designed hat box will prevent brim warping.
If your hat gets wet, shake off excess water, turn down the leather sweatband, and let it dry naturally. Don't use hair dryers or radiators, and protect your hat from any heat sources.
To remove dust and dirt, use a soft hat brush or sponge, starting on the crown's top front and pulling through the crease. Work counter-clockwise around the crown, then counter-clockwise on the top side of the brim, and finally clockwise on the bottom side. You can find all cleaning and hat accessories at Titley's.
