ABOUT TATE

If you're familiar with the Australian rodeo world, there's no doubt you've heard of Tate Van Wel before. After a few failed attempts at bull riding and bronc riding, it didn't take Tate long to realise that steer wrestling was for him. 10 years later and Tate has won many events and claimed many titles, including the APRA Australian Steer Wrestling Championship in 2019.

Tate currently resides in Charters Towers, Queensland and runs two businesses; Horizon Refrigeration Services and Full Noise Sound & Production, which provides sound and announcing services to rural events right around Queensland.

Between being on the road steer wrestling and operating Full Noise, there's never a dull moment.

We're very happy to have Tate join our team again this year and know 2024 will be an exciting year for him!
